WINNER - IN-KART UNDER-16 CADET COMPETITION AUGUST 2013

Robert started karting as a bambino driver on the junior circuits at Whilton Mill and Milton Keynes, winning a host of trophies and setting lap records for a bambino driver.

Almost a year before the minimum age of 8 years, Robert received special permission to join the Junior Race School at Milton Keynes and became its youngest ever graduate, the youngest driver to be allowed to drive on the National Circuit and the youngest ever competitor in the InKart Championship for drivers under 16 years old.

Robert passed his Motor Sports driving test ("ARKS Test") at 7 years 9 months in February 2013 and continued to gain competitive racing experience at Milton Keynes - only 2 other current InKart cadet drivers under 16 had posted quicker lap times at the track.

Robert competes in a Wright kart as an IAME cadet driver in the MSA championships at Whilton Mill and Kimbolton and won the Teng Tools award in his first race at Whilton.

Robert is a member of the GW Motorsport team and is based near Kettering, Northamptonshire, enjoying the benefit of support and guidance from both Gary Ward and Bradley Smith.

Robert is well aware of the importance of maintaining his studies and is in the top sets of his year group for maths, reading and literacy.

Robert also enjoys swimming, diving, rugby, gymnastics, football and playing pool.

In October 2013, Robert was awarded both the Young Sportsman of the Year and the Sports Personality of the Year for Kettering, and in November Robert was awarded Runner-up in the Northamptonshire Young Sportsman of the Year.

In 2014 Robert moved up into the IAME cadet class and in early 2015, was selected as one of the finalists in the national Formula Kart Stars competition.

Away from the circuit, Robert finished 5th in the Northamptonshire County Swimming Final in September 2014 and finished runner-up in the Kettering Young Sportsman awards.

Robert also became the youngest ever winner of the East Anglian Junior Driver Trophy in June 2015 at Kimbolton kart circuit.
